About Merrill

Merrill Collier began performing magic at a young age and hasn’t stopped.

In his early twenties, he studied in Madrid, Spain, became one of the youngest magicians to pass the entrance exam to the Sociedad Española de Ilusionismo, and won national sleight-of-hand awards in Spain and Germany. His early mentors were world renowned magicians Arturo de Ascanio, David Williamson, Bob Sheets.

Merrill honed his skills performing at a variety of venues such as corporate events, pharmaceutical trade shows, weddings, private parties, schools, and fundraisers for diverse organizations.

Merrill actively maintains friendships with magician friends all over the world. He is a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, Society of American Magicians, and the Academy of Magical Arts at the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, CA.

Merrill’s great-great-grandfather, George Raps, who lived from 1853 to 1917, was a truly dynamic magician, skilled mindreader, and innovative entrepreneur. His remarkable signature effect, known as the ‘Cabinet of Music Spirits’, gained tremendous popularity and was widely celebrated by both magicians and mediums throughout the turn of the century, captivating audiences with its enchanting allure.

Merrill’s career has been in global marketing and training for medical and consumer companies (Medtronic, Boston Scientific, Johnson & Johnson). He provides marketing consulting for heart and brain health start-ups, and serves as Associate Faculty in Business at the Santa Rosa Junior College.

Merrill has two great kids and a Bichon Frisé who all love Magic!
